Teresa Fay Poff Tamkin Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Teresa Fay Poff Tamkin of Fort Valley, Virginia, who passed away on July 6, 2025, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Ruby Young Poff Gochenour and Vernon Poff Sr.; her husband Kent Tamkin; her daughters, Sara George (Dustin) and Lisa Tamkin; her granddaughter Adalyn George; her brothers, Vernon Poff Jr. (LeAnn) and Robert Poff (Karen); and also, Lisa, Edwin Tamkin (Nancy), Nancy Fitchett (Bill), Nova Saffell (Ricky) and Troy Tamkin (JoAnn).

A funeral service was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Wakemans Grove Church of the Brethren (668 Wakemans Grove Rd, Edinburg, VA 22824). A burial was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Charles Emerson Walters Cemetery.
