He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Smothers and Pat Smothers. He is survived by: his wife Katherine Smothers; his children, Stuart Smothers (Susan) and Sara Benchich (Jason); and his grandchildren, Isabella and Jack Smothers.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Peace United Methodist Church (801 Maple Grove Dr, Fredericksburg, VA 22407).
