He was predeceased by : his parents, Andrew Jackson and Mary Edith Dowling Hill; his wife Jeanette "Judy" Evon Waller Hill; and his sister Delores "Peanut" Patton. He is survived by : his son Tim Hill of Hillsville, Virginia; his grandchildren, Kari Hill of Fries, Virginia, Casey Hill of Woodlawn, Virginia and Corey Hill of Fries, Virginia; his great grandchildren, Asia Hill of Fries, Virginia, Alyce Leary of Fries, Virginia, Apiphany Leary of Fries, Virginia and Drustin Hill of Woodlawn, Virginia; his half-sisters, Diane Hill Lundy and Angela Hill Mabe; and his close friends, Mark, Mary Williams and Jill Pack Hill.

In lieu of flowers the family respectfully request donations be made to the Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church.
