She was predeceased by: her parents, William W. Joseph and Sally Catherine Smith Joseph; her son Jerry W. McCorkle; and her siblings, Bill Joseph, Roy Lee Joseph, Paul Joseph, Vernon Joseph, Lillian Woody, Betty Thompson, Maxine Grogg, Nellie Harding and Norma "Duckie" Joseph.
She is survived by: her husband Raymond Miller McCorkle; her children, Ken McCorkle, Karen Sue Cole and Lorie Ann Thurston; her sisters, Sue Knupp of Rockingham County, Virginia and Ruby Ray of Rockingham County, Virginia; her grandchildren, Aaron McCorkle, Joseph McCorkle, Bradley Marcey, Jerry W. McCorkle II, Jeremy McCorkle, Johnathan Cole, Joshua Cole, Desiree Marcey, Jenny McCorkle and Stephanie Lillard; her great grandchildren, Elijah McCorkle, Julian Marcey, Brayden Marcey, Emaley McCorkle, Haley McCorkle, Jasmine Schuler, Breanna Marcey, Madelyn Lillard, Makayla Lillard, Cierra Cole and Lydia Cole; and her great great grandchildren, Liam Furr and Azelea James.
