With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gene Carson Derflinger of Front Royal, Virginia, who passed away on November 13, 2020. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Carly Derflinger and Fanny Derflinger; his sons, Allen Derflinger, Jamie Derflinger and Eugene Derflinger; and his grandchildren, Katelyn Layne and Alyssa Funk.

He is survived by: his wife Debra Derflinger; his children, Melinda Salyers (Terry), Dale "Bo" Derflinger, Sally Ann Layne (Tim), Denise Moore and Melissa Salyers (Ronnie); his grandson E. J. Woodward; and his siblings, Donald Derflinger (Judy), Ella Mae Vorous and Roger Derflinger.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Maddox Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses.
