It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rachel Burke Keener (Front Royal, Virginia), who passed away on August 14, 2021, at the age of 106, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis Welford and Estelle Hottle Burke; her siblings, Harry Burke, Mattie Poore, Annie Benton, Russell Burke, Catherine Sims, Paul Burke, Ollie Burke, Gladys Taylor, Brondell Burke, Virginia Burke, Charlotte Boyton, Marie Harting and Francis Burke; her husband Walker M. Keener; and her daughter Mary Frances Keener.
She is survived by: her daughter Betty K. Chapman (Billy); her granddaughters, Callie H. Dove (JR) and Carrie Chapman; and her great grandchildren, Jessica Phillips (Lonnie), Joshua Dove, Jesse Dove (Marissa), Caitlin Dove and Bradley VanGorder. She is also survived by nieces & nephews.
