He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Townes and John Townes; his wife Frances Ard; and his siblings, Jack Townes and Ruth Gochenour.
He is survived by: his children, Turner Clem (Debi) of Montgomery, AL. and Pamela Ammerman of Front Royal. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, a number of nieces and nephews.
