He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Prowse and Clara Murdock of Virginia; his children, Janet Fitzgerald and Michael Murdock; and his sisters, Roberta Bruce and Ginger Perkins.
He is survived by: his wife Paula Murdock of Front Royal, Virginia; his son David Murdock of Tampa, Florida; and his sister Sandy Lombardi of North Canton, Ohio..
In lieu of flowers the family is asking that donations be made in Richard's name to the Pulmonary Hypertension Association located at 8401 Colesville Road Suite 200.
