She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Crites and Ruth Shook Crites; and her son Bruce Sears. She is survived by: her husband John E. Sears; her children, William D. Sears (Sherrie), Tammy Moran (Mike) and Kim Linaweaver (Bill); and her sister Mary Lou Hardy. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Rivermont Baptist Church.
