With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ethel June Goad Beamer of Galax, Virginia, born in Mount Airy, North Carolina, who passed away on September 2, 2021 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Reid and Sadie Poole Goad; her husband Jack Creasy Beamer; and her son-in-law Craig Patton. She is survived by: her son Michael; her daughter-in-law Terry Beamer of Asheville; her daughters, Sue Beamer Patton and Mary Margaret (Bernie Rector); her grandchildren, Jason (Allison Beamer), Sarah (Robert Benton), Justin Patton (Rebecca Nester), Erin (Aaron Blackburn) and Catie Patton of Lincolnton; her great grandchildren, Avery of Cornelius, Abby of Cornelius, Bowman Beamer of Cornelius, Marshall Benton of Savannah, Georgia, Xander Patton of Winston-Salem, Lucy Blackburn of Galax, Virginia and Sadie Blackburn of Galax, Virginia; her sisters, Barbara Jean Johnson and Mary Jo (Clayton Simpson); and her close friends, Carmen Sumner, Peggy Sumner and Megan Patton. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
