He was predeceased by: his parents, James Monroe and Edna Reeves Tucker; and his siblings, Brenda Tucker Hughes and Charles Tucker. He is survived by: his daughter Tessa Shay Cox; his siblings, Hilda Jo Tucker of Galax, Virginia, Regina Tucker of Galax, Virginia and James V.; and his sister-in-law Nancy Tucker of Sparta. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
