She was predeceased by: her husband Van Akers; her daughter Linda Parsons; and her siblings, Gay Goad, Athelene Ross, Trixie Honaker, Sam Goad, Gladys Brown, Betty Lynn, Marvis Blankenship and Mary Warren.
She is survived by: her sons, Robert and Dennis; her daughter-in-law Charlotte; and her sister June Robinette. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, thirty-two great-grandchildren, nine great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
