With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lucille Ervin Rhoton of Gate City, Virginia, who passed away on June 4, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lorn Ervin and Mae Musick Ervin; her siblings, Harry Ervin and Patsy Carter; her sisters-in-law, Betty Bishop and Pauline Jones; her parents-in-law, Dan and Laura Darnell Rhoton; and her son-in-law Lester Frazier.
She is survived by: her daughters, Kathy Smith (Dale) and Patricia Frazier; her grandchildren, Justin Smith (Michelle), Rusty Smith, Jamie Bishop and Mark Frazier; her great grandchildren, Jacob Darnell (Ashton), Rhiannon Bishop, Brooklyn Smith, Bryson Smith, Brayden Smith, Cole Smith and Hayden Smith; her great great grandchildren, Jace Darnell, Aubree Darnell and Amelia Darnell; and her sister-in-law Barbara Dishner.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 12:15 PM at the Gate City Funeral Home (136 Beech St, Gate City, VA 24251). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel (136 Beech St, Gate City, VA 24251). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Holston View Cemetery (226 Yuma Rd, Weber City, VA 24290).
