It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Margaret Lane Sigmon (Gate City, Virginia), who passed away on April 11, 2024, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, John V Lane and Polly Gilley Lane; and her siblings, William H. Lane (W. H.), Nancy Lane Tippett (Jim Tippett) and Norma Ann.

She is survived by : her husband Charles M. Sigmon of Rye Cove; her daughter Cathy Sigmon Talbott (Chris Talbott); her grandchildren, Jonathan Talbott and Jennifer Talbott of Phoenix Arizona; her sister-in-law Clarcie Barker Lane; her nieces and nephews, Campbell, Emrey and Tonja Wolfe (Jerry); her great-nephew Hunter; her great-niece Hayley White (Dustin); her nephew Hayden; her niece Missy Saliga (Phil); her great-nieces, Stephanie, Emily and Jessica; her great-nephew Brian; and her cousin Jo Penley.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 16th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Gate City Funeral Home (136 Beech St, Gate City, VA 24251). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 16th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel (136 Beech St, Gate City, VA 24251). A reception was held on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 at 10:15 AM at the Gate City Funeral Home (136 Beech St, Gate City, VA 24251). A burial was held on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Oak Hill Memorial Gardens (800 Truxton Dr, Kingsport, TN 37660).
