He was predeceased by : his parents, Oliver F. Hockett and Gladys Henderson; his grandparents, Hiram J. Hockett, Rachel Crosswhite, Wayne Henderson and Leanna Snead; his brother Donald Cecil Hockett; and his half-siblings, Paul W. Hockett and Nellie L. Cook.
He is survived by : his half-brother Thomas J. Hockett of Newark, DE; and his siblings, Robert D. Hockett of Abingdon, VA, Rachel "Bess" Hericks (David) and Kenneth Wayne Hockett (Hope) of Saltville, VA.. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Due to the COVID restrictions there will be a memorial service at a later date.
