He was predeceased by: his parents, Harley Cannon and Josephine Cannon; and his siblings, James Cannon, Lamuel Cannon, Bob Cannon and Ollie Thomas.
He is survived by: his wife Annie Cannon; his children, Wayne "Peanut" Cannon, Jr. (Angela) and Josie Cannon; his stepmother Thelma Cannon; his grandchildren, Christopher Cannon (Karrington), Ricky Cannon and Christina Kestner; his great grandchildren, Jaidyn Cannon, Bella Cannon and Alina Bennett; and his siblings, Rosie Salyers, Phyllis Jessee (Conrad), Linda Steffey (Sam), Brenda Caywood (Kink), Charlie Cannon, David Cannon (Kristie) and Tim Cannon (Jessie). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
