She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Lee and Ethel Mae Fincham; her husband Wallace Tennyson Poindexter, Jr.; her sons, Michael Anthony Poindexter and William Lee Poindexter; and her grandson Travis Wood.
She is survived by: her children, Dennis Poindexter, Sr., Patricia "Patty" Wood and Jeanie Lynn Staton; her brother Wesley Fincham; and her grandchildren, Michelle Thomas, Dennis Poindexter Jr., Candace Staton, Brittany Staton, Damien "Mikey" Blewett and Anthony Poindexter. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Preddy Funeral Home - Gordonsville (301 S Main St, Gordonsville, VA 22942). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
