He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Christoffersen and Laura (Kunz); his wife Margaret Mary; and his brother Henry Christoffersen. He is survived by: his brother Ernest; his children, John Christoffersen (Vicki), Peter Christoffersen, Fran Pitts (Richard), Lisa Miller (Robin) and Andrew Christoffersen; and his grandchildren, Kimberly Christoffersen, Eric Pitts, James, Kate Miller and Mia Weisbrod.
