It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alvin Miller Huyard of Grottoes, Virginia, born in New Holland, Pennsylvania, who passed away on December 21, 2022, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Isaac Huyard and Ada Huyard (Peachey); and his siblings, David J. Huyard, Mary B. Stoltzfus, Sylvan Huyard, Martha Smucker and Isaac Huyard, Jr. (late Janice Kauffman).
He is survived by: his wife Rose Huyard (Stoltzfus); his children, Jonathan Huyard (Kellie) of Richmond, Katrina Nelson (Jeremy) of McGaheysville, Shayla Lehman (Jason) of Harrisonburg, Drew Huyard (Ashley) of Grottoes and David Huyard (Samantha) of Grottoes; his sister Anna Esh of Intercourse, PA; his grandchildren, Kylie, Preston Huyard, Adam Nelson, Liliana, Carter Lehman, Dylan, Tucker Huyard and Walker Huyard; and his pet Noel. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
