He was predeceased by: his parents, Eddie Dees, Sr. and Lillian Frierson; his siblings, Louis Dees, Eddie Dees, Clarence Dees, James B. Dees, Harry Dees, Mary Susan Dennis (Henry), Dyanna Jefferson (Harold), Evelyn Burnette and Naomi Swinton; and his close friend Tommy Harding.
He is survived by: his wife Claudette Dees; his daughters, Tonya Dees and Yolanda Dees; his grandson Maxwell Yarbrough; his stepson Daryl Smith; his grandson Eric Yarborough Jr.; and his brothers, Johnny Dees (Deandrous) and Roosevelt Dees (Selena).
