He was predeceased by: his parents, George Lanning and Lillian Lanning; and his brothers, Walter (Vercie) and Ernest Lanning. He is survived by: his wife Donna; his children, Keith Lanning (Sheri), Melanie Harris and Gwyn Gridley (Scott); and his sister-in-law Joanne Lanning. He is also survived by five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, May 27th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home & Memorial Park Chapel (2551 N Armistead Ave, Hampton, VA 23666).
