Betty Ann Bowers Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Ann Bowers of Harrisonburg, Virginia, who passed away on July 20, 2025, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Dovel and Louvenia Dovel (Miller); her husband Harry R. "Fuzz" Bowers; and her siblings, Bill Dovel, Bob Dovel and Nancy Shifflett Riggs.
She is survived by: her children, Douglas Stover (Betty June), Charles Stover (Chris), Jackie Stover Daughtry (James), Jeff Stover and Jennifer Stover Hatcher; her siblings, Elmer Dovel, Jr., Richard Dovel and Janet Johnson; her grandchildren, Mike Stover, Travis Stover, Chris Leech, Stephanie Morris, Jamie Stover and Kim Reed; her great grandchildren, Cole Stover, Christy Morris, Savanna Leech, Sawyer Stover and Miriam Stover; and her great great grandchildren, Zain and Acacia. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Kyger Funeral Home - Harrisonburg (3173 Spotswood Trail, Harrisonburg, VA 22801).
