She was predeceased by : her parents, Boyd Bernard and Margie Rose Reubush Hoover; her siblings, Eleanor Hoover Leach, William Herbert Hoover and Claude Franklin Hoover; and her nephews, Jeff Payne and Tony Hoover.

She is survived by : her sister Kathy H. Payne of Singers Glen; her nieces and nephews, Monica Leach, David Leach, Kevin Payne, Roseann Hoover and Crystal Hoover; and her close friend Betty Morris.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 3rd 2024 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the McMullen Funeral Home Inc (5784 Greenmount Rd, Harrisonburg, VA 22802). A graveside service was held on Thursday, April 4th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Friedens United Church of Christ (3960 Friedens Church Rd, Mt Crawford, VA 22841).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Frieden's United Church of Christ, 3690 Friedens Church Road, Mt. Crawford, VA 22841.
