We are sad to announce that on April 15, 2024, at the age of 87, Lois Weitzel Emswiler of Bridgewater, Virginia, born in Van Nuys, California passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Henry Weitzel and Anne Weitzel (Godde); her siblings, Richard, Norman Weitzel, Cecilia Ann Weitzel and Margaret Kageler; and her son Daniel Emswiler.

She is survived by : her husband Robert B. Emswiler; her siblings, Verl Weitzel (Marilyn) of Walnut Creek, CA and Irene Miller of San Diego, CA.; her daughters, Kathy Bennett (Duane) of Staunton, VA and Karen Bailey (Dale) of Buna, TX; her grandchildren, Ellen, Sarah Sides, Blake Nichols (Kasey) and Kendal Smith; and her great grandchildren, Camren and Baylor Nichols. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM. A graveside service was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Linville Cemetery (4982 Kratzer Rd, Harrisonburg, VA 22802). A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Lantz Chapel at Bridgewater Home (302 N 2nd St, Bridgewater, VA 22812).
