With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marita Suzanne (Dovel) Wadford of Harrisonburg, Virginia, who passed away on April 27, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Marita Suzanne departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Marita Suzanne. Though Marita Suzanne may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert A. Dovel and Vera M. Dovel (Woodworth); her husband Tommy Lamarr Wadford; her son Michael S. Wadford; and her sister Mickey Dovel.
She is survived by: her children, Lawrence A. Wadford (Julie) of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, David Wadford of Harrisonburg and Heidi Fukushima of Harrisonburg. She is also survived by four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; one sister and three brothers; numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, prayers for the family will be accepted.
