She was predeceased by: her father Juan Melendez; her grandparents, Aurea Torres and Calixto Perez; and her cousin Carlos Torres. She is survived by: her daughter Isabel Lafrance-Melendez; her mother Aurea Perez; her sister Zamaita Melendez; and her nephew Xavier Rivera. She is also survived by other siblings, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the West Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home (11020 W Broad St, Glen Allen, VA 23060).
