He was predeceased by: his parents, Hardin Alvin and Ruth Ella Mabe Forrester; and his son Carl Richard "Richie" Forrester, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Hilda Jackson Forrester; his daughter Sharon Lewis (Bernie); his grandson Brandon Koger; his great grandchildren, Brantley Koger and Gannon Koger; and his sister Marge Shaffer (Patsy Marshall).
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel (1035 N Main St, Hillsville, VA 24343). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at the Gardner Memorial Cemetery.
