She was predeceased by : her parents, Abram Honaker and Henrietta Gilbert Honaker; her husband Clyde Shepard; her son Grant William Shepard; her great grandchild Dawson Shepard; her brothers, Billy Eugene Honaker and Robert Lee Honaker; and her siblings-in-law, Anna Pearl Honaker, Rex Compton and Danny Howard.

She is survived by : her children, Garland Odell Shepard (Betty) of Honaker, Carolyn Harrison (Eddie) of Bristol, Larry Allen Shepard (Lucy) of Honaker and Donna Faye Shepard of Hansonville; her daughter-in-law Phyllis Shepard; and her siblings, Georgia Compton of Roanoke, Opal Brown of Orlando, Dollie Slate (Roger) of Salem, Bonnie Howard (Carroll Dinkle) of Alta Vista, Virginia, Bennie Honaker of Plain City and Herman Lee Honaker (Vivian) of Honaker. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
