It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rodney Blackwell of Honaker, Virginia, born in Bluefield, West Virginia, who passed away on September 18, 2020, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Ray Blackwell and Mary Hawkins Blackwell; his daughter Ciera Lakin Blackwell Dye; his grandson Abel Cage Petrick; his siblings, Ricky, Ronald, Lonnie Blackwell and Catherine Blackwell; and his niece Hope Blackwell Wilson.

He is survived by : his wife Lora Dye Blackwell; his sons, Cody Blackwell and Matthew Blackwell (Keisha); his sisters, Jeni Blackwell Neely (Eddie) and Jewel Blackwell; his grandchildren, Alexis, Aleeah Blackwell, Casey, Colston, Brenton Blackwell, Eli, Mattilee Dye, Jacob Keen, Molly and Izzy; and his nieces and nephews, Michelle, Kim, Heather, Nikki, Melody, Todd, Chad, R. J., Anthony, Zack Dye, Eddie Neely, Mark Dye, Joe Dye, Bill Dye and Harold Newberry. He is also survived by his parents, siblings, grandparents, aunts and uncles, and cousins.
