She was predeceased by: her parents, Tommy Reed and Agnes Turner Wilkinson; and her sisters, Nancy W. Shell, Helen W. Daniel and Agnes Reed W. Hawthorne.
She is survived by: her sibling's child Cephas Hawthorne, Jr.; her husband Julian W. Cabaniss; her sons, Dwayne Cabaniss (Natalie) of Chesterfield and Brian Cabaniss (Regina Rabago); her granddaughter Catherine Cabaniss of Brooklyn, NY; and her sister Edna Gibbs. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family.
A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, November 5th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Clarke Funeral Home (110 E 5th Ave, Kenbridge, VA 23944).
