With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Whitney Fuerst of Huddleston, Virginia, born in Elbert, West Virginia, who passed away on July 27, 2023 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Luther Whitney and Margaret Hechler Whitney; her grandparents, John, Mary Hechler, Abigail Everett Whitney and E. Donald Fuerst; her daughter Mary Margaret "Maggie" Franklin; and her siblings, Betty Whitney Quinn and Lawrence L. Whitney (Charles Caudle).
She is survived by: her friend Don Fuerst; her sons, Buddy Driskill (Sandy) and Randy Driskill; her grandchildren, Allison Deaton (David), Jason Driskill (Shannon), Scott Franklin, Lindsey Johnson (Kevin), Neil Driskill and Jill Johnson (Biff); and her sibling's children, Carol Dale (Jack) and Terry Quinn (Carolyn).
