With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley June Mitchell (Independence, Virginia), born in Squire, West Virginia, who passed away on February 13, 2021 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Earl Billings and Elma Billings; her former life partner Carl Mitchell (Jack); her husband Jack Mitchell; her brothers, Ellis and Jack Billings; her children, Sherri, Mike Pennington of Martinez, GA, Missy, Bob Plummer of Troutdale, VA, Steve and Susie Mitchell of Sugar Grove, VA.; and her siblings, Bob, Joanne Billings of Obetz, OH, Ronnie, Marie Billings of Dublin, VA, Freeda Baldwin of Newhall, WV, Shelby Sage of Wytheville, VA, Juanita Mitchell of Troutdale, VA, Nadine, Bud Barnett of Rocky Mount, VA and Janice Johnson of Hampton, VA.. She was also cherished by six grandsons, one granddaughter, four great grandsons and three great granddaughters.
