With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy Gilbert of Jewell Ridge, Virginia, born in Red Ash, Virginia, who passed away on July 27, 2022 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Walter Lankford and Martha Hill Lankford; her husband Cecil P. Gilbert; her brothers, Curtis and James Lankford; and her niece Sue Hess.

She is survived by : her stepchildren, Rhonda Compton (Randy), Cindy White (Wesley), Daniel Gilbert (Teena), Robert Gilbert (Sharon) and Dean Gilbert. She is also survived by family Nephews.
