She was predeceased by: her parent Jay Cole; and her daughter Linda Crabtree. She is survived by: her parent Katherine Dorton Cole; her husband Claude Dye of Jewell Ridge, VA; her daughters, Trish Farmer (Edward) of Jewell Ridge, Carolyn Short (Tom) of Jewell Ridge and Denise Tolliver (Jim) of Raven, VA; her son-in-law Virgil Crabtree of Honaker, VA; her siblings, Brooks Jones of Fredericksburg, Helen Justice (Edward) of Phyllis, KY, Grat Cole (Margaret) of Jewell Ridge, Grady Cole (Betty) of Jewell Ridge and Betty Smith; and her grandchildren, Will Crabtree (Crystal), Stephanie Hess (Earl), Thomas Short (Kim), Amy Spencer (Randy), Julie Breeding (Brannon), Katie Patton (Brian), Tommi Tolliver, Jeff Greenway, Cortney Richardson (Brian) and John Otis Altizer. She is also survived by two sisters and six brothers.
