It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Frances Robinson Perkins Hines of Jonesville, Virginia, who passed away on June 1, 2025, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Walter Rando; her son James Edward Hines; her father Joseph Lorenzo Dow; her granddaughter Mary Cole Sayers; her great grandchild Maxwell Gunnar Hines; and her brothers, Joseph Perkins (Joanne), Walter Perkins (Jo Ann) and James Perkins (Judith).
She is survived by: her children, John Hines (Pam) of Jonesville, VA, Joseph Hines of Jonesville, VA, Mary Sprinkle of Jonesville, VA, Margaret Logan (Ron) of Liberty, WV and Martha Kolko (Hanan) of Montclair, NJ.; her grandchildren, Amy Woody (Tim) of Delano, TN, Matt Hines (Katy) of Mascot, TN, Andy Hines (Andrea) of Jonesville, VA, Adam Hines of Christiansburg, VA, John David Hartley (Merrilee) of Abingdon, VA, Julia Goble (Jeramy) of Newland, NC, Sarah Duncan (Richard) of Reddy, WV, Jake Logan of Hurricane, WV, Becca Logan of Charleston, SC and Abe Kolko of Philadelphia, PA.; her great grandchildren, Ian, Ella Hines, Michael, Amelia, Ruth Hines, Liam, Elyse Hartley, Logan and Merritt Duncan; and her sisters, Gail Sperka (Ernie), Dorothy Perkins, Rebecca Jones (Tom) and Mary Porter Knight (John). She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church of Jonesville (200 Church St, Jonesville, VA 24263).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that the donations be made to the First United Methodist Church in Jonesville, VA or a charity of your choice in Frances's memory.
