She was predeceased by: her parent George Hunter Crowder; her spouse Elwood Leon Gosney of Keeling; her siblings, Douglas Crowder, Carter Crowder, Otis Crowder, Edgar Crowder, Elsie Owen and Rosa Lee Parks; and her granddaughter Jessica Carol McCain.
She is survived by: her parent Minnie Motley Crowder; her daughter Janice McCain (Phillip) of Keeling; her grandchildren, Agatha Miller (Chad) of Chesapeake and Joseph McCain of Rescue; and her great grandchildren, Brody Miller of Chesapeake and McKean Miller of Chesapeake.
As per her wishes, the family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Jessica C. McCain Scholarship Fund, Virginia Commonwealth University Department of Music, 922 Park Avenue, Richmond, Virginia 23284-2004.
