He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Faye Doss Tanksley; his daughters, Donna Hawker (Larry) and Debbie Dunavant; his stepdaughters, Lisa Dawson (Lynn), Patty Worley and Karen Mooney (Kevin); his sons, Jimmy Tanksley (Brenda) and Michael Tanksley; and his siblings, Lois Terry, Clifton Tanksley and Reless Tanksley. He was also cherished by seven grandchildren and nine great – grandchildren.
