It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melinda Meador Nelson of Keysville, Virginia, born in Roanoke, Virginia, who passed away on July 4, 2023, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Carper "Chick" Meador and Ruth Locke Meador. She is survived by : her husband Julian G. Nelson; her children, Jason A. Nelson (Sherry) and Shelby N. McCarty (Chris); her grandchildren, Ashley, DJ, Lonnie, Carper, Lee and Grant; and her brothers, Bobby Meador (Pam) and Larry Meador (Sandy). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
