She was predeceased by : her parents, John Sharp and Tillie Sharp; her husband Richard Gordon Grotte; her brother Dennis Sharp; and her stepmother Edna Sharp.

She is survived by : her daughters, Sandra D. Lester (Tom) and Rhoda L. Shelton (Tony); her sister Shirley Sharp; her grandchildren, Jeremiah Lester, Reannan Tinsley, Rebecca Shelton and Chesnie Long; her great grandchildren, Joshua, Corbin, Victoria, Cody, Brantley, Serenity, McKinley and Britney; and her great great grandchild Finley.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to the Ash Camp Baptist Church Building Fund, P O Box 56, Keysville, VA 23947.
