With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Leslie Goddard of Ophelia, Virginia, who passed away on July 11, 2025 at the age of 99. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Paul and Mary Estelle Krantz Goddard; and his wives, Kathy H. Goddard, Paulette F. Goddard and Margaret Knight.
He is survived by: his daughters, Joy G. Ballenger (Bob) of Riverside, CA and Beth Goddard of New Orleans, LA; and his stepchildren, Paige M. Brock (Alan) of Waggaman, LA, Julie B. Weicht (Dwight) of Heathsville, VA and Paul R. Beebe of Covington, LA. He is also survived by six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to Afton Methodist Church.
