She was predeceased by: her parents, Alec Blanton and Nannie Mae Blanton; her sibling Willie; her son William Blanton (Josie Blanton); and her nephew Floyd Fajna, Jr..
She is survived by: her husband William "Sonny" Maitland; her daughters, Melisa "Lisa" Cosner (Keith) and Christy Oludaisi (Solomon); her grandchildren, Chelsie Warmouth (Patrick), Justin Campbell (Erica), DeAndra Sosa (Matthew), Lauryn Watkins and Tiana Jones; her great grandchildren, Jerry, R. J., Noah, Leela, Axel and Zoey; and her sister Stella Merkle (Scott).
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Williams Funeral Home and Crematory (410 Windsor Ave, Lawrenceville, VA 23868). A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Oakwood Cemetery (610 W 5th Ave, Lawrenceville, VA 23868).
