He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Walter and Florence Strosnider Vance, Sr. of Virginia; his grandson Dustin Keffer; and his siblings, Walter Vance, Jr., Sue Cornwell, Eva Elbon, Roy Vance and Betty Middleton.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Hammock Vance; his children, Bridget Keffer (Mike), Sharon Reid (Curtis), Aaron Vance (Kim) and Susan Scott (Jeff); his grandchildren, Ashley Showalter (Frank), Vivi Villarreal (Victor), Nathan Reid (Stacy), Stephanie Hopkins (Brian), Jacob Vance (Brittany), Jillian Vance, Brandon Spaid (Brittny), Zachary Scott and Grant Scott; and his siblings, Mary Paige (Howard) and David "Duke" Vance (Joan). He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
