He is survived by : his brother Robert Hanes; his daughters, Cary Lee Hanes, Cameron Hanes and Melinda Harman; his niece Ashley Hanes; his nephews, Chris Hanes and Dana Hanes; and his grandchildren, Carter Gibson-Hanes, Gracie Gibson-Hanes, Gray Hetzel, Beckham Hetzel (Becks), Jack Hartman and Charlotte Hartman.
