He was predeceased by: his parents, James Earnest Dorsey and Lura Fields Dorsey; and his stepbrothers, Darren and Mark Farrish. He is survived by: his sons, Brandon Douglas Dorsey (Tiffaney) of Fairfield, VA and Brock Tilden Dorsey (Constance Coffey Dorsey) of Harrisonburg, VA; his grandchildren, Megan, Ella, Cohen, Gemma and Vale; and his brother Michael W. Dorsey (Marlene). He is also survived by nieces and great-nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Harrison Funeral Home (714 S Main St, Lexington, VA 24450). Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Olive Branch Baptist Church (41 Olive Branch Cir, Nettie, WV 26681). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Fields Cemetery.
