He was predeceased by : his parents, James W. Painter and Flossie Painter (Campbell); and his siblings, Chester, James E., Cecil G. "Bug" Painter and Edna Campbell (Painter).
He is survived by : his son Thad R.; his daughter-in-law Jeanne L. Painter of Steeles Tavern; his grandchildren, Ashley Painter (Buddie Chandler) and Ali Engleman (Matthew); and his great grandchildren, Elloise and Oliver.
