She was predeceased by : her parents, Oliver Barksdale and Lizzie Melissa Coleman Barksdale; her husband Henry Stanford Dixon; and her son Winston Dixon. She is survived by : her children, Zatella D. Conner (Orlando) of Raleigh, NC, Zelda Lacoat Sessoms (LaVon) of Charlotte, NC, Zelma D. Johnson (Kenneth) of Georgetown, TX, Harrison A. Dixon (Sylvia) of Gloucester, VA, Van B. Dixon, Sr. of Greensboro, NC, Waverly Dixon and Dan Dixon of Long Island, VA; and her grandchildren, Katrina Dixon, Altresia C. Hunter (Kevin), Iven Dixon, Van Dixon, Jr., Revetta Dixon, LaTia Conner, Mark Dixon, Danielle Dixon, Charmagne Dixon and Jeffrey Dixon. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren, and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
