With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Bonnie Mae Papazoglou of Lynchburg, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 29, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Bonnie Mae may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Bonnie Mae touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ray Wuerthner and Myrtle Wuerthner; and her brother Rex Wuerthner. She is survived by: her husband Thomas P. Papazoglou; her son John Papazoglou (Radhika); her brother Robert Wuerthner (Sally); and her caregivers, Bonnie, Dr. Russell Melton, Dr. John MacNeill and Dr. Mahmoud Rasheed.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 1724 Langhorne Rd, Lynchburg, VA 24503.
