It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Brenda Leigh Poore of Lynchburg, Virginia, who passed away on May 13, 2023, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Brenda Leigh Poore to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Earlton L. Hailey and Elsie Louise Hailey; her son Shannon Poore; her sister Linda McGuire; and her stepfather Zake Mason.

She is survived by: her husband Dennis E. Poore; her daughter Amanda Poore; her brothers, Robert "Bobby" Hailey (Lisa) and George Hailey (Janet); her brother-in-law Phillip Poore (Jennifer); her grandchildren, Kayleigh Cumbie and Isaiah Ware; and her niece Amber Phillips.

The family asks memorials be made to the UVA Emily Couric Clinic Cancer Center, 1240 Lee Street, Charlottesville, VA 23908.
