We are sad to announce that on March 28, 2025, at the age of 99, Dorothy J. Penn (Lynchburg, Virginia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Dorothy may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Dorothy touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roosevelt Johnson and Nancy Williams; her husband Andrew L. Penn; and her stepson George Williams. She is survived by: her sister Lois Gregg of Washington, DC; her siblings-in-law, Edgar Penn and Hattie Penn; and her stepgrandsons, Chris Williams, Shawn Williams and George Williams. She is also survived by other cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
