George Thomas Daugherty Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George Thomas Daugherty of Lynchburg, Virginia, born in Fairmont, West Virginia, who passed away on March 25, 2021 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, William Harold Daugherty and Georgia Henderson Daugherty Edwards; and his wife Virginia Lee Daugherty. He is survived by: his sister Sue Ellen Reneman (John) of Louisburg, NC; his nephews, Barry Holbert of Raleigh, NC and Chad Mercer of Louisburg, NC; his sibling's children, Harold Thomas Daugherty (Mary O'Leary Daugherty) of Greystones and Valerie Daugherty of Lynchburg, VA; his great grandchildren, Thomas Fletcher (Melanie) of Jane Lew, WV, Kylie Fletcher, Dominic Fletcher, Sarah "Harley" Fletcher, Abigail "Abi" Fletcher, Mauria Fletcher West (Brian) of Fairmont, WV, Elijah "Eli" West, Jensen West, Brennen Daugherty (Katherine "Kat") of Red Lion, PA, Declan, Flynn Daugherty, Julia Daugherty of Balaton, MN, Davin Daugherty of Greystones Ireland, Jared Coffman (Miss McKinley Tucker) of Bedford, VA, Wyatt Coffman, Ashley Coffman of Madison Heights, VA and Ryan Coffman of Clarksville, IN.; and also Malissa Daugherty Hohmann (George Reed Hohmann) of Charleston, WV. He is also survived by eight grandchildren.
